How to make your booking

SILMAR HOLIDAY RENTALS is a long established company offering accommodation consisting of apartments, private villas and hotels. By direct bookings you can save up to hundreds of pounds as you pay your accommodation per unit and not per person.

1 - Direct reservations: For all information or bookings about our accommodation, car hire, etc. please call directly our office in Portugal - on number: 00-351-289 313 269, our friendly advisors will be happy to help with every aspect. You can also send us an e-mail with your enquires. If you wish to make a booking you can use the pre-booking's form (see link below).

2 - Booking conditions: As soon as your booking is confirmed by us, we will send you a “Confirmation and Account” and a list of simple instructions for your journey in case you come from Faro Airport by car to our reception. A deposit of 40% of the rental price must be paid within 8 days of the booking’s date. You can pay your deposit by sending us a bank swift to our IBAN International Bank Account Number at Barclay's Bank in Portugal, mentioned on your “Confirmation and Account” ( You might also send us a cheque, only acceptable if you book at least 5 weeks prior to your day of arrival). If for any reason the deposit is not received by us on time, we will contact and tell you that the deposit is overdue. If it is still not received by us within 8 days of the contact reminder being sent out, we will be entitled to treat your booking as cancelled by you.

3 - Check in / Check out: Villas and apartments will be available from 16.00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Please remember that irrespective of the departure time of your flight you will need to vacate your villa or apartment by 10 a.m. This is necessary to allow villas and apartments to be cleaned and prepared in time for the next arrival.

4 - Paying for the balance of your holiday: The balance must be paid at our reception on the day of arrival in cash.(Pounds or euros). We do not accept credit cards.

5 - Cancellation charges over the deposit: Once your holiday has been confirmed and the deposit is paid, we begin to incur costs on your behalf, for which a charge will be made, should you subsequently cancel your holiday. Cancellation charges are dependent upon the length of time prior to your check-in date that the cancellation is made. The cancellations must be notified in writing either by e-mail or fax to our office.

More than 45 days: 50% over the paid deposit » 29 - 45 days: 60% » 15 - 28 days: 70% » 8 - 15 days: 80% » 1 - 7 days: 90% and on the check-in day: 100%. Additional supplement: Administration and bank swift costs: 30 euros per cancellation.

6 - Mean of transport: If you choose the airplane as mean of transport only you have to do is to book by a travel agency in the UK the flights to Faro. Please check with your travel agency if there are seats available for departure and return on the days you want to travel, before definitively booking our accommodation

7 - Journey instructions: To find more easily our reception in case you travel by car from the airport, we will provide you, together with your booking's form and account the journey instructions starting from Faro's airport.
