Wonderfull city of a thousand beaches

Originally a small fishing village, Quarteira has blossomed into a bustling modern holiday resort combining the pleasures of a beach holiday with great town life. A new pedestrianised promenade with plenty of souvenir shops, restaurants and bars, bordered by rustling palms, bright flowering hibiscus and the white and pink of the oleander. In the evening, this pleasant seaside walkway is filled with an endless stream of families and couples. Great number of restaurants with wide range of choice:  Daytime: fruit and fish market, for local sights: Water slide park just one and a half mile from centre on main Quarteira to Loulé road. Nightlife: several clubs and discos with the casino in the neighbouring and walk distance Vilamoura.
